Cedar Village Store & Coffee Shop
About This Spot
Stepping into Cedar Village Store & Coffee Shop, you’re greeted by a quietly charming corner of village life where time seems to slow just enough to savor the small moments. Nestled on Church Road in the heart of Potten End, this cozy cafe and store offers a gentle retreat from the rush, with an atmosphere that feels as familiar as an afternoon spent with old friends.
The pace here is unhurried, inviting you to settle into one of the well-kept nooks indoors or to enjoy the garden seating at the back, where dappled sunlight and the occasional rustle from nearby trees create a peaceful backdrop. It’s a place where mornings stretch comfortably, and where the comforting clink of coffee cups blends with quiet conversations.
The menu echoes this welcoming warmth, offering thoughtful, home-style flavors without fanfare. Whether you’re holding a rich, creamy oatmilk flat white or indulging in freshly made pancakes after a woodland walk, there’s a sincere sense of care in every cup and plate. Heartier offerings, like a bacon and tomato toastie or a roasted vegetable flan with a side salad, feel like familiar comforts that gently nourish both body and spirit.
More than just a cafe, Cedar Village Store also connects you to the local scene — a spot where you might discover artisanal treats or quaint gift baskets nestled alongside your morning brew. It’s the kind of place where regulars find ease in the attentive but unassuming service, and newcomers are drawn into a rhythm that’s as inviting as the village itself.
For those seeking a pause on a stroll or a quiet start to the day, Cedar Village Store & Coffee Shop embodies the subtle pleasures of simple, thoughtful hospitality — a place where the essence of community quietly lingers in every shared moment.

Found it to be a very nice cafe, inside and outside seating. My Cortado was milkier than expected but would order again. The bacon sarnie was perfect, seeded bread, nice bacon and well cooked, spot-on.

My wife and I went for a lovely morning walk in the area. On our way back to the car we decided to pop into the Cedar Coffee Shop and have some breakfast. We both had a full English breakfast and the food was great. We sat in the lovely garden at the rear of the shop and had a lovely time. The coffee was great too. We also bought some local products form the village store. Will definitely be returning again.

Cedar is a fantastic little coffee shop in a quiet village. I had the full English breakfast—generous portions and everything was delicious. I especially loved the bacon: not too hard or too salty, cooked just right. The hash browns and sunny-side-up eggs were also great. The yogurt and granola bowl was fresh and healthy, with plenty of fruit. There’s also a beautiful wooden sculpture outside that adds to the relaxed, countryside atmosphere. Friendly service too. A perfect place for breakfast or brunch!

I 100% recommend going for a nice breakfast especially after a good walk! I went for a for a breakfast around 12, just after a nice long walk through the nearby woods. Its an incredibly cute and well looked after store! I had bacon, pancakes and sausage with a nice glass of orange juice (See photos attached). The staff were kind and brought the food quickly and it tasted great. I am sure many of the locals already know of its existence, if you don't then its worth going for a great breakfast. Although the portions look small it was the perfect size.

This is a delightful find. Nice food (I am gluten intolerant) and superb service. We sat outside with our dog in the sunshine and had a great lunch. I recommend a visit.

Great coffeshop with amazing options for breakfast. No reservation needed. They have a nice outdoor area for the sunny days. The pancakes with berries and maple syrup were delicious. The oat latte was perfect. I will definitely repeat it.
